TheResolverBot is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect only what's necessary to provide the service, store data securely, and give you control over your information.

Data We Collect

Personal Mode (DMs):

  • Your Telegram user ID (for authentication)
  • Conversation context you provide (temporarily, for thread continuity)
  • Usage statistics (anonymized)

Group Admin Mode:

  • Group ID and basic metadata
  • Incident logs (moderation actions and context)
  • Admin user IDs (for access control)
  • Configuration settings

How We Use Your Data

  • Service Delivery: Generate responses, maintain thread continuity
  • Analytics: Improve bot performance (aggregated, anonymized)
  • Incident Tracking: Log moderation actions for group admins
  • Support: Troubleshoot issues when you contact us

Data Retention

  • Session context: Held only for the duration of your current session. Resets when you send /start or begin a new conversation.
  • Group incident logs: Stored locally in the bot's SQLite database on the host server. No automated expiry is enforced.
  • User account data: Telegram user ID, usage counters, and resolve balance. Retained for as long as you use the service.
  • To request data removal: Contact us at [email protected] and we will manually remove your records.

Data Security

  • All data transmitted between your Telegram client and the Telegram Bot API is encrypted in transit by Telegram.
  • Bot data is stored locally on the host server. We do not use third-party cloud databases.
  • Access to the Admin Cockpit is protected by HMAC-signed session tokens verified against your Telegram identity.
  • Invoice payloads are HMAC-signed to prevent tampering.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Telegram Bot API: For bot functionality (Telegram's privacy policy applies)
  • Cloud hosting: Data stored on secure cloud infrastructure
  • AI providers: For response generation (data anonymized before processing)

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you would like to access, correct, or request deletion of your data, contact us at [email protected]. As a solo-operated service, all data requests are handled manually. We will respond as promptly as possible.

Children's Privacy

TheResolverBot is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used the bot, contact us immediately.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced via the bot and on this website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
