Required Permissions

Resolver — authoritative

Resolver only acts within the permissions you grant. Give it what it needs, nothing more.

The bot checks for these admin permissions at runtime:

  • Delete messages: Required for moderation actions
  • Restrict members: Required for muting and slowmode
  • Post messages: Required for sending notices and alerts

Run /groupdiag inside the group at any time to see exactly which permissions are active.

Note: You can grant only the permissions you're comfortable with. Some features may be limited if permissions are restricted.

Accessing the Admin Cockpit

  1. In your group chat, send /groupadmin
  2. The bot will reply with a button to open the cockpit
  3. Click "Open Admin Cockpit" to launch the miniapp
  4. View logs, configure settings, analyze patterns

Cockpit Location: https://admin.theresolverbot.net

Features: Status • Logs • Incidents • RAG • AI Skills • TRB • Settings

Best Practices

Resolver — instructional

✓ Do This

  • Provide full context when starting a conversation
  • Review and adapt suggested responses—don't copy blindly
  • Use Stabilize first in heated situations
  • Check admin logs regularly to spot patterns
  • Configure rate limits appropriate for your group size

✗ Avoid This

  • Don't use the bot for non-moderation conversations
  • Don't grant more permissions than necessary
  • Don't ignore context—mode selection matters
  • Don't expect perfect responses every time (iterate as needed)
  • Don't use personal mode for group-level issues

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the bot in multiple groups?
Yes. Add the bot to each group where you want moderation support. Group admins can manage moderation settings inside each group's admin cockpit.
How much does it cost?
1 free Stabilize per day in personal DM mode. Clarify and Close require a paid personal plan. Group moderation features require a paid group plan. See the pricing page for full details.
What data does the bot store?
Session context you provide is held only for the current session and resets when you start a new conversation. Group incident logs are stored locally on the bot's host server with no automated expiry. See our privacy policy for full details.
Can I customize the bot's responses?
In group admin mode, subscribed groups can enable the RAG add-on for knowledge retrieval and use AI Skills draft tools. Group admins can also configure moderation toggles (anti-raid, anti-nuke, noise ceiling) and enable or disable the Intelligence Layer via the Admin Cockpit. Personal DM tone defaults can be set via /settings (when v2 personal is enabled).
What if the bot gives a bad suggestion?
Don't use it! Always review responses before sending. You can use the Retry options (Softer / Firmer / Shorter) shown after any paid response. Report persistent issues to support.
Resolver — light humor

Still confused? Resolver finds that pretty funny. Just open the bot — it's faster than reading.
